Under the threat of relegation, QPR have the extremely difficult task of halting the Gunners current seven game winning streak. Arsenal have been resurgent in recent weeks and will look to record their eighth consecutive victory and further consolidate their current position of third place on the Premier League ladder.
The Gunners are currently eight points ahead of both fifth and sixth place, currently occupied by Chelsea and Newcastle respectively, and only ahead of Spurs by three points. With a maximum of 24 points left in the competition, it is imperative the Gunners maintain their current form all the way to the end of the season.
Going into the match Arsenal have been boosted by the return of one of their most consistent defenders this season, Laurent Koscielny. The Frenchman suffered from tendinitis in his knee last week, which prevented him from playing the match against Aston Villa. While Djourou did fill his place to good effect, there is no doubt his return is a welcome one.
In terms of the rest of the team, expect Wenger to field the same side that has been the reason for Arsenal’s recent strong run of victories. The odds are definitely in Arsenal’s favour and they should comfortably secure all three points.

on Laurent Koscielny…
Normally he will back. He has a test with the team later today. But he had one yesterday and it looks positive. It is 90 per cent yes. So at QPR it should be the same squad.
on Abou Diaby…
There was a little pain in training yesterday so we will not expose him. It is nothing serious, we are just being cautious.
Arsenal – Robin van Persie – The Dutchman has been in fine form this season, most recently in the Premier League with a goal against Newcastle. While he hasn’t found the back of the net i the last couple of matches, no doubt he will have a significant influence on this match.
QPR – Bobby Zamora – The Englishman has provided significant problems for Arsenal in the past, where his physical presence often cause trouble for our defence. No doubt he will look to bring this type of play to the upcoming match, but may face a tough task against Vermaelen and Koscielny.
