Partey came out on the wrong side of a challenge with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and while it is still too early to say to what extent the damage is, it appears to be an ankle injury – with less than 2 weeks until the Premier League restarts.
The friendly at the Emirates saw Chelsea race into the lead through Kai Havertz, before Granit Xhaka levelled, only for summer striker target Tammy Abraham to fire Chelsea back in-front.
Sunday’s friendly also gave Gunners fans the chance to see new big-money signing Ben White make his non-competitive debut in-front of returning fans.
