Arsenal’s move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will not be formally completed until next week when the 33-year-old is expected to complete his medical, according to Sky Sports.
Having already agreed a deal with the west London club while also sorting out personal terms with Cech, as Sky Sports suggests, it seems as though the deal is close to completion.
In theory, the club could announce the deal while including the customary ‘subject to a medical’ disclaimer in a statement. However, we traditionally tend to wait until everything is perfectly in order before making an announcement.

Cech, however, is a signing worth waiting for considering that he could be the difference in next season’s title race. The qualities he brings to our squad are endless.
Not only is he a proven winner and a bona fide leader, Cech is still in the prime of his career and remains one of the best goalkeepers on the planet.
