Our record signing has come in for a lot of criticism during his time at the Emirates, but the media are finally beginning to appreciate what he brings to the side.
He has been in scintillating form since returning from injury, and has been scoring and assisting with regularity. The German playmaker has thrived in a more central role, with a midfield trio of Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla, and himself proving most effective.
The World Cup winner has been tipped for an exit practically since he arrived, but clearly wants to stay and fight for titles with Arsenal.
“I want to stay, I have a three-year contract with Arsenal however, anything can happen in football,” he is quoted as saying.

Özil was part of the side that ended our decade long trophy drought with an FA Cup win last season, and he will be hoping to be part of the side that retains it this campaign. Premier and Champions League glory is the main aim however, and he and the rest of the team will be hoping to make that dream a reality in the coming seasons.
