Michael Owen has backed Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be a booming success in the Premier League, and told BT Sport that the Swedish international would be perfectly suited to Arsenal.
Ibrahimovic has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with his contract at PSG set to come to an end this summer (via the Express).
He’s been linked to Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea, although recent signs have been pointing more towards the Emirates. The fact that he would apparently prefer a move to London (via Sky Sports) immediately puts us ahead of Manchester United, and with Chelsea failing to secure Champions League football we’ll surely be ahead of them too.
Owen believes the 34-year-old is exactly what we need, and believes his signing would really please the fans.
“You think certainly with the size of him, he will be able to cope with the physicality,” he said.
“For some reason I can envisage him playing for Arsenal.

“He’s exactly what they need – a big name forward.
“Fans have been calling it for ages.
“He’ll love it in London and that’s why I can see him coming to the Premier League.”
The fans would certainly be thrilled with the signing of Ibrahimovic, as he’s unquestionably one of the top strikers in the world right now. He may not have many years left at the top, but at the moment he’s still performing at an incredibly high level.
The former Barcelona star has been a key part of the success PSG have been having recently, and he’d definitely bring that same level of quality to Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger is likely to be the main stumbling block, and whether he’d want such an ego at the club or whether he’d be willing to pay the wages being demanded is another question entirely.
