Gooners around the world have come together and signed a petition to get Mike Dean banned from officiating future Arsenal games, with the supporters’ monumental effort seeing the petition hit a milestone 100,000 signatures (via Change.org).
Arsenal have been the victim of a number of poor officiating performances from ‘referee‘ Mike Dean, and the fans are getting sick of it. The latest in a long line of disasters from the controversial official was our 2-0 loss against Chelsea, where he inexplicably sent off Gabriel Paulista, but somehow saw fit to leave Diego Costa on the field.
Petitions that reach the 100,000 mark are put up for debate in Parliament – unless they are considered a joke, but this is certainly no laughing matter to Arsenal fans.
Dean has consistently shafted us in huge games, and our win percentage when he is in charge is woeful. He seems to have a personal vendetta against us, and it would be fantastic were he to be prevented from refereeing another game of ours.
There are a number of conspiracies floating around regarding Dean, with fans outraged when he appeared to celebrate Louis Saha’s goal against us during a North London derby (Watch here).
