Hoffenheim boss Julian Nagelsmann has revealed which three players he wants Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson to aspire to be (via The Independent).
It’s clear that Reiss Nelson is developing well at Hoffenheim under the club’s manager Julian Nagelsmann.
The German manager is younger than many players at 31 years old but has revealed which three stars he wants Arsenal’s Nelson to aspire to be.
“It’s about growing in a healthy fashion for young players,” said Nagelsmann.
“It’s like being a musician. One good song can put bread on the table for a few weeks but it’s not about just being a one-hit wonder. It’s about being stable for a long time, in the best case doing that over the course of 15 years.
“If you want to be a great player, like to name a few examples, Cristiano Ronaldo, Arjen Robben or Lionel Messi, being able to perform at the top for over a decade. So he [Nelson] has got to work hard now.”

Nelson has made an excellent start to his career in Germany, averaging a goal every 63 Bundesliga minutes. The 18-year-old seems to be open to learning from Julian Nagelsmann which is vitally important for him at this stage in his career. Let’s hope Nelson continues to develop and can take a step into the Arsenal first team next season.
