Our 2-0 win over Bayern Munich this past Tuesday night was unquestionably one of our best performances this season, but was slightly marred by the injury to Aaron Ramsey early in the second half, as reported by the Express.
Arsene Wenger put out the strongest side available to him, and got his tactics spot on. We remained defensively solid when necessary, and looked to hit the Bundesliga side on the counter.
Our gameplan eventually paid off when Olivier Giroud gave us the lead, and Mesut Özil sealed things with a goal in the 93rd minute.
Ramsey unfortunately limped off injured after 56 minutes however, with the Welshman pulling up awkwardly as he raced forward to press the opposition.
It was instantly clear that his night was over, and Wenger spoke after the game about the severity of the injury.
“He’s alright but very down,” Wenger said.

“He told me he injured his hamstring. It’s quite a tough one.”
There’s no news on how long the midfielder will be absent, but hopefully it won’t be too long. We’ve looked superb in recent weeks, and it would be a shame to fiddle with the formula Wenger has found.
Arsenal transfer news
Bayern have been fantastic this season, but their winning streak has finally come to an end. We’ve shown we’re capable of beating the best teams in the world, and hopefully we can kick on and challenge on all fronts.
