No matter how much Arsene Wenger continues to insist Alexis Sanchez will stay at Arsenal, the rumours surrounding his future simply refuse to go away.
The latest comes all the way from Chile, where El Mercurio (via the Metro) report Neymar and Dani Alves have been in touch with Sanchez, in a bid to tempt him to move to PSG.
The report also states that PSG sporting director Antero Henrique remains in contact with Sanchez’s agent, but that talks between the pair have “intensified” in recent days.
PSG’s huge move for Neymar appeared to have ruled the club out of a deal for Sanchez, but if the report is true, it seems that is not the case at all.
Sanchez played alongside Alves during the pair’s time together at Camp Nou, and the report also claims they are good friends.
It’s difficult to know what to make of all the speculation currently. The message coming out of Arsenal is that he is simply not for sale, and recent reports suggest Sanchez has accepted that and will stay for another season.

Despite all the reported interest in the Chilean from PSG and Manchester City, offers are yet to materialise, and Sanchez’s wage demands are thought to have put off some suitors.
However, there are still some weeks left of the transfer window, and we can probably expect the rumours to continue for some time yet unfortunately.
