Arsenal will not entertain any offers for our Spanish playmaker Santi Cazorla after reports claimed that Atletico Madrid were targeting him as they look to replace Arda Turan, the Mirror reports.
Cazorla was one of our best players last season, especially after Wenger deployed him in a deeper midfield role alongside Francis Coquelin following the turn of the year.
The 30-year-old has constantly been linked with a move back to his homeland despite professing his desire to stay in north London on a number of occasions.
The Mirror suggests that the club has no interest in selling Cazorla and consider him as out best player last season.

Cazorla oozes class on the ball, but it was his discipline and defensive solidity which surprised many. For the remainder of last season, Wenger was facing a tactical predicament in fitting our best players in a system without compromising our balance.

The Spaniard’s new found defensive efficiency allowed the boss to move Mesut Ozil in his preferred No.10 role while having a player of Cazorla’s creativity operating centrally in order for us to dominate the game.
It is no coincidence to see that this tactical shift resulted in our best form of the season. Cazorla will be crucial once again if we’re to challenge for the Premier League next term.
