Arsenal have officially revealed Marouane Chamakh has joined Crystal Palace in a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
The Morocco international had a single year left on his Arsenal contract and will leave the club after three tough seasons in north London.
The 29-year-old striker scored just 14 goals in 67 appearances, most of which came in the opening months of his free transfer from Bordeaux in the 2010 summer.
He unfortunately played second fiddle to Robin van Persie which saw the forward lose confidence and the prowess he demonstrated when first moving to the capital, consequently spending the second half of last season on loan with West Ham with summer signing Olivier Giroud the preferred centre forward.
The Gunners have tried for some time to sell the tall striker, and have finally managed to do so.
