Arsenal have confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined the club from Manchester United with Alexis Sanchez moving the other way (via Arsenal.com).
It has become the worst-kept secret in football this week but finally, we have official confirmation on this story.
Alexis Sanchez has signed for Manchester United in a deal which will see Henrikh Mkhitaryan join the Gunners.
It brings an end to Sanchez’s three and a half years at the club where he scored 80 goals in 166 matches but the beginning of Mkhitaryan’s time in North London.
The Armenian midfielder had this to say about the move.

“I’m very happy that we could finish this deal and I’m very happy to be here,” he told the official Arsenal website.
“It’s a dream come true because I’ve always dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Now that I’m here, I’ll do my best for this club to create history.”
It’s good that we finally have confirmation of this long-running story. Hopefully, Arsenal can move on and embed the new player in the team as soon as possible.
