David Ospina’s father has claimed that the player wants to stay at Napoli past the summer when his current loan deal ends (via Calcio Mercato).
He’s become something of a forgotten for Arsenal fans as the club continues on with a new goalkeeper but David Ospina is still a Gunners player.
The Colombian is currently on loan at the Serie A side Napoli where he has made 21 appearances in all competitions.
That loan move is set to come to an end in just a few months’ time but the player’s father has insisted that Ospina wants to stay with Napoli.
“My son is very happy at Napoli and he would like to stay here longer,” said Hernan Ospina in an interview with CalcioNapoli24.

“He would be ready to be a back-up if it means being part of this project.”
The news comes just a month after Ospina’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti insisted that he wants to keep the play at Napoli beyond this season.
It’s probably for the best that David Ospina continues at Napoli. The player won’t displace Bernd Leno at Arsenal and seems to be doing well in Italy.
