Mesut Ozil is battling to be fit for Tuesday’s Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Tuesday, according to The Metro.
The Germany international was ruled out of Sunday’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace due to illness with Lucas Perez coming into the team in his place.
The 28-year-old was barely missed as the Gunners cruised to victory over Sam Allardyce’s side thanks to Olivier Giroud’s sensational strike before Alex Iwobi’s goal wrapped up the three points.
While Perez struggled to make much of an impact it was a dominant performance by Arsenal who should perhaps ought to have won by more.
However, Arsene Wenger may have to make do without Ozil yet again with reports claiming he is struggling to recover from his illness in time.
Ozil was reportedly bedridden with a virus for much of last week and could be forced to sit out the second match in a row.

Arsenal will also be without Mohamed Elneny for the trip to the Vitality Stadium as the midfielder has now joined up with the Egypt squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations which starts later this month.
The pair will not be the only absentees of course, with Jack Wilshere ruled out for the hosts as he is unable to play against his parent club, and he will be missed by the Cherries.
Despite the absentees the Gunners will go into the game in confident mood after a rousing win over Crystal Palace thanks to THAT goal and having beaten Bournemouth 3-1 back in November.
