Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell Mesut Ozil if he does not lower his wage demands, according to The Telegraph.
The Germany international’s contract expires in 2018 and while the club are in negotiations over a new deal, no agreement has yet been reached.
Reports have claimed that Ozil wants £250,000-per-week to remain at the club while there has also been speculation that Alexis Sanchez, who is also out of contract in 2018, has been offered wages of £400,000-per-week to quit the club for the Far East.
The report claims that while Arsenal are willing to offer one of the duo £288,000-a-week they cannot afford to pay both that amount, and neither player is willing to earn less than the other.
Ozil is currently Arsenal’s highest-paid player on £140,000-per-week but the Gunners would be willing to listen to offers for the World Cup winner as they reportedly believe it would be easier to replace him than Sanchez.
The 28-year-old has recently hinted he would be interested in a return to Real Madrid while Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in bringing him back to the Bundesliga.

Wenger has previously insisted he believes Ozil is happy at the Emirates and wants to stay and he has certainly appeared happy on the pitch, with eight goals already, including his first senior hat-trick against Ludogorets.
Speculation over both players’ future seems to be increasing currently which is a massive worry for fans with the duo in fine form and the club’s chance of success seemingly reliant on both Ozil and Sanchez remaining in north London.
