Lucas Perez’s agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, say he is hopeful Deportivo can complete a deal with Arsenal for the forward.
The player’s representative claims that the Liga side have made an offer to Arsenal, and are doing everything they can to sign the player.
The club’s president Tino Fernandez has previously said Perez is looking forward to joining Depor, and it appears that this is his most likely destination, despite interest from Newcastle.
“I think the £10.9m (€12m) that Deportivo La Coruna have offered Arsenal is a great deal,” Lovelle told Sky Sports News. “Deportivo received £12.7m (€14m) when they sold him to them last summer.
“They are giving everything to make this transfer possible. Lucas wants to play but he has a contract with Arsenal. I am hopeful an agreement can be reached.”
Perez has made his frustration at Arsenal quite clear and if the two clubs can agree a fee, it looks as though he will depart before the close of the transfer window.

Although Perez has looked impressive on the rare first-team chances he has been given, it’s little surprise to see he wants to leave having barely featured in his first season.
The arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, suggests it will be the same story this season, and Perez now looks to be heading back to Deportivo.
