Arsenal target Petr Cech’s agent has confirmed that we’re one of the clubs the Chelsea shot-stopper would like to join this summer as his situation starts to gather pace, according to Czech Daily Sport reporter Karel Häring.
I spoke to Viktor Kolář, Petr Čech´s agent:”Arsenal, United or PSG are all top clubs. And Petr would like to join one of them – definitely.”

Čech´s agent Kolář: “Petr expects that Abramovič not Mourinho will decide about his future, based on their mutual agreement from last year.” — Karel Häring (@KHaring75) May 19, 2015
We have been consistently linked with Cech over the past few months and after Jose Mourinho confirmed that he’s powerless to stop the 32-year-old moving to us this summer.
“He would never go to big clubs and fantastic teams, big candidates who want to win the Premier League,” Mourinho told talkSPORT.
“I would never let him go, but it’s not in my hands.”
Arsenal transfer rumours
- Arsenal keeping tabs on €40m Italy star after ‘outstanding’ season
- Where Arsenal would have finished in the league without VAR
- Arsenal’s top Hector Bellerin replacement is now available for £30m
David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny have shared the No.1 jersey this season but neither seem suitable long-term options if we’re to eventually challenge for the league.
During the course of a season, your goalkeeper is expected to save a number of points rather than cost the team, and we haven’t had a figure between the sticks capable of those qualities since Jens Lehmann.
Cech is a relentless winner and has won every trophy available to him at club-level while also possessing the leadership qualities which has, on some occasions, been absent from our team.
Snatching a top player from the champions would signal a massive statement of intent from the club and lay down the gauntlet to Jose Mourinho’s side; letting them know that we’ll be their main challengers next season.
