Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has revealed that he recently met John Terry and tried to convince him to join Arsenal given that his position at Chelsea is now under threat.
Spent 20 minutes trying to persuade John Terry to join Arsenal last night, using the ‘Jose don’t love you any more’ line. I failed.

Unfortunately for Morgan, Terry declined and remained loyal to the club he’s been captaining for more than a decade. Having said that, it would be interesting to see if our fans would even accept the former England captain – considering all the off-field issues which have tarnished his legacy.
At Arsenal, we pride ourselves on not only the size of our club but also the values we defend and signing a player with the baggage Terry comes with would make any move rather impossible.
Arsenal transfer news
However, regardless of what Morgan says, there is absolutely no chance of Terry ever making the move across London, especially not now given that he’s in the final years of his career.
- Arsenal told ‘no less than £50m’ for top defensive transfer target
- Arsenal keen to sign 16th best ranked Premier League stopper
- Arsenal keeping tabs on €40m Italy star after ‘outstanding’ season
Having been a thorn in our club for a number of years, we can certainly enjoy Terry’s career at the top-level ending in such comical fashion.
