We dropped more points this weekend, with one of the Premier League’s worst teams in terms of form holding us to a draw. We really should have put the game to bed after going up 1-0, but we wasted opportunities and were eventually punished for it.
Here’s how we rate the Arsenal players following our 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace:
GK) Petr Cech – 5.5
He had very little to do throughout the game, but when he was called upon he was sloppy. He really should have done more to keep Yannick Bolasie’s goal out, and he was slow to get down to his near post.
RB) Hector Bellerin – 6.0
- Two signings set in January as Arsenal give Arteta ‘vote of confidence’
- Norwich star says it ‘depends’ on club if Arsenal can sign him
- [Player ratings] Arsenal 1-2 Wolves – Auba flops and pressure on Arteta
The Spaniard was great going forward at times, but his crossing was once again woeful. He wasted so many good chances to put great balls in, constantly hitting the first man.
LB) Nacho Monreal – 6.5
Excellent defensively and solid going forward, although like his fellow full-back his final ball into the box was really poor.
CB) Laurent Koscielny – 6.5
Solid for most of the game, but almost gifted Palace a winner with some poor decision making late on.
CB) Gabriel Paulista – 6.5
A decent display for the most part, perhaps a couple of mistakes creeping in as usual. He rescued Koscielny with a last ditch challenge on Wilfried Zaha though, preventing us from losing the game.
