This certainly wasn’t our best performance by a long way, but we came away with a point in the end. There looked to be a definite effect on the team from the Bayern Munich result, but thankfully we didn’t give up all three points.
Here’s how we rated the players from our 1-1 draw with Tottenham:
GK) Petr Cech – 6.5
Made a couple of crucial saves, including one point blank headed effort from Toby Alderweireld, but almost made a hash of things when he came way out of his area and was almost dispossessed by Erik Lamela.
RB) Mathieu Debuchy – 6.5
The Frenchman has been poor recently, but didn’t look out of place today. He was exposed a couple of times and certainly hasn’t done enough to displace Hector Bellerin, but he looked far more committed than he has done.

Substitute: Mikel Arteta – N/A
Didn’t see much of the ball during his brief spell on the pitch.
LB) Nacho Monreal – 6.5
A fairly solid performance from the Spaniard, but was guilty of backing off too much against the advancing wingers, allowing Tottenham to put pressure on us in and around the box.
CB) Laurent Koscielny – 6.0
A big mistake to attempt to play offside for the goal we conceded, but had a solid game for the most part after that.
CB) Per Mertesacker – 4.5
A really poor performance from the German, and when we play such a high line we get caught out. Balls in behind the giant centre-back leave him totally lost, and mean we are incredibly exposed to route one football.
