Our 4-0 win over Aston Villa combined with Tottenham’s incredible 5-1 collapse against Newcastle have seen us fired up into second spot on the last day of the season, with a hat-trick from Olivier Giroud and an own goal (which we’re giving to Mikel Arteta) securing the win.
Here’s how we rate the Arsenal players from our 4-0 win over Aston Villa:
GK) Petr Cech – 7.0
Was he even playing? Barely had a save to make, with just one solid interception made to prevent a chance in the second half.

RB) Hector Bellerin – 8.0
The Spaniard was excellent going forward, stretching his legs and using his pace to impact the game. He supplied a superb assist for Olivier Giroud’s third goal, absolutely taking the defence out of the equation.
LB) Nacho Monreal – 7.5
A really solid display from Monreal as usual, who was able to get forward a little more than usual thanks to Aston Villa’s impotency. He probably should have got a goal to add to his assist for Olivier Giroud’s opener, but a couple of cut-backs were unfortunately blocked.
CB) Laurent Koscielny – 7.5
None of the defence had too much work to do at the back, but they still had to remain alert at all times.
CB) Gabriel Paulista – 7.0
A solid performance from the Brazilian, but you really can’t tell a lot about his defensive prowess from this game.
