Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has confirmed that Galatasaray were interested in signing him last season. The Lions were heavily linked with the Arsenal star however, they did not table an official bid for the German international.
Galatasaray were interested in me however, no direct contact was made nor was an offer put on the table.
We’ll see what happens in January.
Of course I am not happy with my situation at Arsenal right now. I can’t be satisfied with that. It is hard when you can’t do what you love.
If you only come in for 8 or 10 minutes it is hard to get into the game.
If you can’t play then you can’t say he’s not playing well or he has a crisis if you’re not given the chance.
The German international has proved that he is lethal up front, putting in several strong performances despite featuring only for short periods of time. His left foot is very dangerous, but Wenger has somehow chosen not to play him on a more regular basis, despite Santi Cazorla being very out of form.

Podolski has already made it clear several times this season that he is considering all options, and with these comments e is surely inviting clubs like Galatasaray and Juventus to make bids for him. At this rate, the German will soon leave the Emirates and if he does Wenger will have some tough questions to answer.
And now even Germany boss Joachim Low seems to be telling Podolski to quit the Gunners. In his latest press conference the manager said:
He needs to play competitive games. Sometimes he lacks the physical condition to play the full 90 minutes.
I’m aware he doesn’t play a lot right now for Arsenal. He has to think about his situation.
This situation is getting very worrying for the Gunners and Wenger needs to make a decision regarding the players future very soon.
