Lukas Podolski looks set to leave Arsenal after being left out of the squad to face Everton on Saturday with opportunities looking bleak for the German in north London.
Arsene Wenger is reportedly set for the proverbial ‘crunch talks’ with the winger on Monday. He may have returned to his hometown of Cologne to watch his former side play over the weekend, after he tweeted a picture of the match, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
There have been reports from Italy that are suggesting Juventus are keen on the forward, while the likes of former club FC Cologne, Wolfsburg and Galatasaray are all linked.
Wenger could be tempted into selling with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the returning Theo Walcott all set to be ahead of Podolski in the pecking order, meaning game time may be even harder to come by this season.
Although it would be a shame to lose the German a move away seems inevitable especially with a wealth of options available on the wing. Unfortunately he offers little defensive cover when played out wide and can often go missing in games. Although Podolski has an impressive goals per minute ratio his limitations outweigh his positives.

A return to former club Cologne looks a likely destination especially after their return to the Bundesliga, but Juventus could be an intriguing move for the attacker. Wenger is apparently after a healthy £12-15million for the World Cup winner which seems a little optimistic but he has another two seasons left on his contract.
