We have an excellent record against Newcastle and will be looking to get 2016 off to to a flying start with a win over them this Saturday.
The busy schedule around this period means we may see a little more rotation, but with Arsene Wenger looking to hold onto top spot in the Premier League he won’t want to mess with the team too much.
Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up against Newcastle:
GK) Petr Cech
Why have one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers if you’re not going to play him? Off the back of his 170th clean sheet against Bournemouth, Cech should keep his place.
RB) Hector Bellerin

Running Bellerin into the ground is a real worry, as he’s one of the few players we can’t really replace. Mathieu Debuchy may get a game at some point, but we can’t see it being against Newcastle.
LB) Nacho Monreal
The Spaniard was rested against Bournemouth, with Kieran Gibbs replacing him. Monreal replaced him late on after a bit of an injury scare though, and should reclaim his starting spot this Saturday.
CB) Gabriel Paulista
Gabriel put in a fantastic performance last game, begging the question once again why he isn’t starting more games. Arsene Wenger is more than capable of rotating his centre-backs, and may well do so again.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
Koscielny was rested last game, so it now may be Per Mertesacker’s turn. Koscielny and Gabriel is arguably the pairing most Arsenal fans would like to see, so hopefully it works effectively.
