Match Preview – Match Facts – Predicted Lineup
Arsenal v Hull City
Premier League
Emirates Stadium
Kick off: August 16, 2014 5:30 PM BST
It’s here! The start of the new season is upon us. First up Crystal Palace after an exciting Community Shield win over Manchester City.
The lineup that faced City looks the likely pick. Laurent Kosciely, who sustained an Achilles injury against City, has been confirmed as likely to play and should partner new boy Chambers at the heart of defence with Per Mertesacker only returning to training this week.
Jack Wilshere looks likely to get the nod again, mainly due to the absence of Mesut Ozil which allows Santi Cazorla to slot into the No10 role.
Elsewhere Alexis Sanchez looks primed for his Premier League debut on the right wing with Olivier Giroud up front. Yaya Sanogo could throw a spanner in the works, but he is still needs to score his first competitive goal for the club. Wenger will surely go for experience in the league opener.
