The Gunners travel for another London derby after their vital win over the Spuds, this time it’s against Premier League leaders Chelsea and it marks Wenger’s 1000th game in charge.
This game is massive and it requires a team to match the occasion. Unfortunately we will be without Aaron Ramsey still after his recent setback, but in Oxlade-Chamberlain we have an exciting talent that will really take the game to Chelsea and we need the Englishman in central midfield once again.
The back line picks itself while in midfield Wenger will opt for Arteta hopefully with The Ox alongside him. Santi Cazorla will start ‘in the hole’ behind Olivier Giroud with Tomas Rosicky and Lukas Podolski on the wings.
Last weekend’s side was a nice blend of experience (Arteta, Rosicky) speed (Ox), directness (Podolski) and creativity (Cazorla, Rosicky again). Let’s hope Wenger sticks with his North London Derby winning side.
So here’s our predicted (/hopeful) XI…
