Arsenal v Hull City
FA Cup final
Kick off: May 17, 2014 5:00 PM BST
Arsenal’s biggest game in years is on the horizon – the FA Cup final. Only one position really remains up for grabs and that’s between the sticks.
At the back, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny and Gibbs seem certain starters. Wenger certainly favours the Englishman over Nacho Monreal who has disappointingly been dropped from Spain’s squad despite featuring for La Roja last summer in the Confederations Cup.
There will be no surprises in midfield, Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey will provide the fulcrum for Arsenal’s engine room with Mesut Ozil doing his thang ahead of the duo. Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski will occupy the wings with Olivier Giroud spearheading the attack.
In goal, many Gooners are favouring FA Cup star ‘keeper Fabianski who is set to depart this summer. It’s up for debate whether the decision to start him against Norwich was for match practice ahead of the final or a farewell for the Poland international. Szczesny has been the clubs best goalkeeper and it seems a strange choice to not start the No1. Wenger has proven to be ruthless like this, after all the FA Cup final is no place for sentiment.

For us Szczesny gets the nod. He’s simply the better ‘keeper and unless Fabianski signs a new contract before the final then the departing goalkeeper shouldn’t start.
Here is our predicted lineup:
Sagna Merts Kosc Gibbs
Ramsey Arteta (c)
