Arsenal host fellow FA Cup finalists Hull City on Sunday at Emirates and Arsene Wenger may not be able to ring the changes to freshen up the squad.
The Gunners boss has already revealed David Ospina will be fielded between the sticks while Theo Walcott is almost certain to earn his first start of the season. Players such as Alexis Sanchez and Per Mertesacker could earn rests, but how far can Wenger go with his rotation? Not very it seems.
The back line will certainly include Calum Chambers and perhaps Nacho Monreal while Laurent Koscielny should also be rested but won’t be. Mertesacker and Chambers have struggled together as a partnership so perhaps Wenger will go for Koscielny and Chambers.
In midfield, Francis Coquelin gets the nod with Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla also in the mix. Joel Campbell could be handed a rare start, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will probably be favoured with Walcott also likely to be included. No concrete update on Danny Welbeck just yet so Alexis Sanchez is the most likely candidate to lead the line.
Hull aren’t a bad team as Wenger knows and with the FA Cup being our most realistic chance of silverware we have to go for it.
