Everton forward Gerard Deulofeu claims he absolutely loves Hector Bellerin, and has been thoroughly impressed by the Arsenal star’s form, as reported by Spanish publication Marca (via the Metro).
The Toffee’s Spanish star has tipped our young right-back for great things, and suggests he is the next in line for a call up to the Spanish squad, despite a number of top full-backs vying for a place.
“I love him and already last year he had a great season in the Premier League,” Deulofeu said.
“There are very good full backs [fighting for a place in the Spain squad] such as Mario Gaspar, Juanfran and Dani Carvajal but Hector is very strong.”
Bellerin and Deulofeu played together at youth level with Barcelona, and obviously developed a friendship and a respect for each other.
It’s understandable that the Everton star would admire Bellerin, as his performances this season have been absolutely exceptional. He has well and truly displaced Mathieu Debuchy as our first choice right-back, and has quickly become one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.

Arsenal transfer news
Bellerin is out injured at the moment, but there’s hope that he could return for our clash with West Bromwich Albion on the weekend (via the Daily Mail). His absence just goes to show how vital he has become, and we see how much we rely on him to create width down our right flank.
