There’s unfortunately nowhere to go but down after you beat arguably the best team in Europe 2-0 in the Champions League, but nonetheless we have to refocus our attentions on the Premier League and look towards Everton this weekend.
The Premier League is potentially winnable this season, with Chelsea stumbling and the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United looking anything but infallible. We can’t afford to drop points needlessly, and to keep up the pressure on Manuel Pellegrini’s side we need to take all three points from the Toffees this Saturday.
You’d think after beating Bayern Munich a clash with Everton should be easy by comparison, but we’ve got a number of issues heading into the game that could make it tricky.
Injuries are certainly a worry, and with the likes of Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, and Tomas Rosicky already out injured, Aaron Ramsey has now been added to the list with a hamstring injury (via Arsenal.com).
A number of players are also likely to be suffering from fatigue, with our recent busy schedule allowing no time for rest. The players like Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez have been massively overused, and we really can’t afford an injury to either.
Confidence should be high after the win against Bayern, but we can’t afford to get complacent. Everton are more than capable of punishing us, so we’ll need to continue to be at our best.

The only real concern Everton have injury wise is Leighton Baines, who won’t be fit to return just yet (via EvertonFC.com).
Kevin Mirallas is unfortunately available for selection once again following his three match suspension, but other than that Everton have very few problems.

We are more than capable of getting the win over Roberto Martinez’s side, and should expect nothing less. Hopefully their fresher legs don’t trouble us in the second half, and ideally we will have put the game to bed before then.
