We’ve recently been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and have received a huge boost in the hunt for his signature with the news that he’d love a move to the Emirates, as reported by The Sun.
The Armenian has been in phenomenal form this season, scoring and assisting with regularity. He’s been among the top scorers and providers in Europe, so it’s understandable that he’s being chased by a number of top teams.
Arsenal and Liverpool are the two Premier League teams he’s been most heavily linked with, and a reunion with former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp certainly seemed possible.
The Sun’s report suggests he’s actually determined to make the switch to north London though, and has even told his friends and family that he wants to join us this summer.
He’s apparently demanding £8m a year in wages, which would make him among the highest paid players at the club. His form this season would suggest it’s worth it though, and if he really is wanting an Arsenal switch then we should jump at the chance to sign him.

Liverpool obviously won’t be competing in the Champions League next season, which is an absolutely huge draw for players of his calibre. If the 27-year-old really is looking to make the switch to the Premier League then we’ve got to be front-runners, and with Arsene Wenger apparently desperate to sign him, this one could actually happen.
