Olivier Giroud has a love hate relationship with a lot of Arsenal fans, but these stats show just how important a player he has become for us.
Having played 80 games for the club so far, we currently have a 60% win rate while he is in the side. A disappointing 36.4% win rate when the big target man is missing proves how much we miss him, and shows that despite the criticism he receives he has become an integral part of the way we play.

The 28-year-old certainly has some frustrating qualities, his lack of piece and erratic finishing to name a few. He offers so much more to the team than goals however, and is extremely unappreciated by many.
His hold up and link up play is superb, and he is capable of bringing the rest of the team into the attack in a way many forwards can’t.

The stats are, of course, slightly deceptive, in so far as when Giroud has been absent we haven’t really had an adequate replacement.
A new striker could certainly improve us, but with our current setup the HFB is exceptionally important.
