Jamie Redknapp has been discussing the impact of summer acquisitions Alexis Sanchez and Angel di Maria, and claims when up against our man the Manchester United record signing has been poor by comparison, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The Argentine hit the ground running at Old Trafford following his £59.7m move, and looked to be a superb signing on the part of Louis van Gaal. He has been in a state of decline ever since however, and has failed to find the back of the net since October.
Sanchez on the other hand, has only improved since his move to the Emirates, and has continued to grow over the course of the season.
He was handed an enforced winter break recently due to injury, but looks set to return for our Premier League clash with Leicester City this Tuesday.

The ex-player turned pundit has admitted that he was wrong about di Maria, and claims he has failed to match up with Sanchez over the course of the season.
“I thought Di Maria would rip the league apart but he’s faded. He’s been really poor, especially compared to Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal,” said Redknapp.
“He’s been played in too many different positions though and it hasn’t paid off. Van Persie has not been the same since Fergie left.
“The only real solution for Van Gaal is to forget about egos and price tags and leave a big name or two on the bench.”
Hopefully the Chilean will be the same player on his return from injury, and perhaps even show some signs of rejuvenation. He has been integral to the success of our campaign so far, and will no doubt prove equally important as we look to finish off the season with a bang.
