Reports in Spain suggest that Arsenal could sell midfielder, Mesut Ozil for just €20 million in January (via Sport Witness).
Mesut Ozil and Arsenal have a highly complicated relationship. It has fluctuated between love and hatred on a weekly basis for years depending on how well the German is playing.
When fit and on top form, it’s obvious that Mesut Ozil is amongst the world’s best players but when he doesn’s play well, he’s a liability.
Ozil put in a wonderful performance against Spurs last weekend which has now raised the issue of the German’s future once again.
Ozil’s contract expires at the end of the season and there are growing reports that the Gunners could look to cash in on the midfielder in January if he continues to refuse to sign a new deal.

Now, the Spanish publication, Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Ozil could be sold for just €20 million in January.
The paper claims that FC Barcelona would be hugely interested in the German at that price as a cheaper replacement for Liverpool star, Philippe Coutinho.
When on form, Mesut Ozil is amongst the best players in the world. However, the German hasn’t performed at that level on a regular enough basis for Arsenal in the last few years. Failing that, €20 million for the World Cup winner is nowhere near enough, even if he does have just six months left on his contract.
