Arsenal have reportedly given Mesut Ozil a final improved contract offer in a last-ditch effort to get him to stay at the club (via The Mirror).
What a difference a few weeks makes. Earlier in the season, many Arsenal fans were eager to let Mesut Ozil leave the club but the German has really shown his qualities since then.
Ozil’s current contract expires at the end of the season and now, many Gunners fans are eager to keep him at the Emirates.
Negotiations have reportedly been ongoing for months but appeared to reach an impasse over the summer.
Reports have come in since then about Ozil wanting a move away from North London. Clubs like Manchester United and FC Barcelona have been heavily linked with the player.

Now, reports suggest that the Gunners have made a final effort to keep hold of the 29-year-old with one final contract offer worth £275,000-a-week.
It’s unclear whether Ozil will agree to the new deal reportedly on the table but many will be hoping he does. The German has really shown his qualities in the last few weeks and seems far likelier to stay at the club than Alexis Sanchez.
