Reports suggest that Arsenal have opened talks with Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux over the 20-year-old winger, Malcom (via The Sun).
With Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and maybe even Theo Walcott heading for the exit door at the Emirates, there is a dire need for offensive reinforcement.
The Gunners have long been linked with the likes of Thomas Lemar, Julian Draxler & Nabil Fekir but it seems that there is a new name on that list.
Malcom is a 20-year-old Brazilian winger who currently plays for Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux but what sort of player is he?
Malcom is a relative unknown to most football fans but his goal record speaks for itself with seven in 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

“Able to make use of his dynamism and drive without compromising his technical ability, the former Corinthians man is one of a rare breed in football, and early season comparisons to compatriot Neymar have hardly been undeserved, albeit little exaggerated,” claims French football experts, GFFN.
Arsenal have asked info to Bordeaux for the Brazilian winger #Malcom, 1997. He can be a good opportunity for January or for next season. There are many clubs on him: not easy. 🇧🇷 #transfers #AFC #Arsenal

Now, Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal have opened talks with Bordeaux over the winger but that they aren’t the only interested party.
Little is known about the 20-year-old winger but he isn’t exactly the sort of player Arsenal have signed in recent years. This could be the influence of the club’s new scout, Sven Mislintat who signed a number of under-the-radar players from Ligue 1 for his former side, Borussia Dortmund. Let’s hope he turns out just like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele.
