Arsenal have reportedly revived their interest in Galatasaray play maker Wesley Sneijder, according to reports in Daily Star.
The report states that the Gunners have revived their interest in axed Holland star Sneijder in a bid to beat off any fresh move for him from long-time admirers Manchester United.
Galatasaray spent £8 million to sign Sneijder back in January and he helped the Istanbul side to clinch a Super Liga title as well as guiding his side to the quarter finals of the Champions League.
The 29 year old who revived his career in Turkey but his national team coach has suggested that he should ply his trade in one of Europe’s ‘big leagues’ if he wants to continue his involvement with the national team and this could perhaps tempt the former Ajax, Real Madrid and Inter Milan man to consider a move to the Premier League.
Sneijder has won domestic titles in four different nations as well as a Champions League tophy during his time at the San Siro and he has also represented his national 93 teams. Even though Galatasaray bought in January for a reported £8 million deal but he is reportedly available for a sum close to £6 million.
Arsene Wenger is yet to spend a single penny on new signings this summer having only brought in French duo of Yaya Sanogo and Mathieu Flamini on free transfers and will look to add some quality to the squad before the transfer deadline today. Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid trio of Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria and are expected to sign at least one of them.

It would be a good move if we go for him because he has immense experience under his belt but i don’t think he is really worth £6 million considering the fact he isn’t the player he once was and his wages too are very high and this is the reason Galatasaray want him out.
With just about 12 hours remaining it would be do or die situation for Arsenal because if we won’t sign anyone today we would in big trouble because we can’t compete for anything with such thin squad.
What do you Gunners?
