Lucas Torreira will reportedly have a medical soon ahead of his proposed move to Arsenal, according to reports.
There was always a possibility that this World Cup would complicate the transfer market and that is certainly the case with this deal.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Lucas Torreira for almost a month and after a growing feeling that the move was nearing completion, the World Cup got in the way.
Torreira is currently away with the Uruguay national team which has reached the first knockout round where they will play Portugal on Saturday.
Lucas Torreira has seemingly won a place in the Uruguay midfield and now, there has been an update on his proposed move to the Gunners.
Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal’s deal with the player has been ‘completed’ and that a medical will take place soon.
