Mesut Ozil has apparently told his mother which club he plans on signing for when he eventually leaves Arsenal (Sport Witness).
It’s fair to say that Mesut Özil’s contract renewal was one of the best things to happen to Arsenal in the last few months.
It’s been a pretty dire season at the Emirates but the German playmaker’s decision to remain at the club for another three years was huge.
Özil joined the Gunners from Real Madrid back in 2013 and has established himself as one of the best players to play for Arsenal in the last decade.
Özil has been the subject of transfer interest from a number of European clubs including Manchester United and Juventus but it seems that he will happily stay in North London until 2021.

However, reports in Turkey suggest that Mesut Özil has already decided where he will play his football next: Turkey.
“I promise mother, I’ll play at Fenerbahçe at one stage of my career as I’ve told you before,” as paraphrased by the publication, Sporx.
Mesut Özil was born in Germany but is of Turkish origin and it makes sense that he would want to play there at some stage in his career. It’s good that he will spend his prime years at Arsenal and nobody would begrudge Mesut Özil his dream move in 2021.
