Kieran Gibbs is reportedly a major transfer target from newly-promoted Premier League side, Newcastle United. Manager Rafa Benitez is keen to bring in the left-back in a deal which could be worth £15 million (via the Daily Mirror).
All the transfer talk at Arsenal right now is about the incomings but there could be a number of players leaving too.
Kieran Gibbs is at the top of that list after fighting a losing battle with Nacho Monreal for the left-back slot in this Arsenal team. Gibbs’ situation would be made even worse with the reported arrival of Sead Kolasanic in the summer.
The 27-year-old is now reportedly the subject of a potential transfer away from the Emirates with Newcastle United at the top of the list.
Magpies’ boss Rafa Benitez is keen to add to his squad and is apparently frustrated by the lack of movement in the transfer market.
A move up north would cost Newcastle upwards of £15 million and bring an end to Kieran Gibbs’ 12-year association with the Gunners.

Kieran Gibbs has made over 220 appearances for the Arsenal first-team but managed just 10 in the Premier League last season. It would be a shame to see the Englishman leave but nobody can begrudge him a move away. The Englishman has been an excellent servant for the club and if he wants to leave in search of first-team football, then so be it.
