It is being reported that Unai Emery has name-dropped the two key players at Arsenal that he wants to build his new side around (via The Sun).
In a story which has come out of nowhere, Unai Emery is now apparently set to become the next Arsenal manager.
BREAKING: Arsenal to appoint Unai Emery as new manager. Thorough process produced 46yo Spaniard as unanimous choice. Available after leaving #PSG (1 Lg1 title, 4 cups), previously Sevilla (3 EL wins), not fluent English. Announcement + press conference likely later this week #AFC

For weeks, Mikel Arteta was the frontrunner and was reportedly just a few days away from being announced as the new boss so what has changed?
Well, reports have suggested that former Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain boss, Unai Emery completely blew the Arsenal hierarchy away in his interview for the job.
The Sun is claiming that Emery provided a detailed analysis of every player at the club and what he wants to do to improve them.

It is also reported that Emery told the Arsenal hierarchy that he wants to build the team around two players – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Aaron Ramsey.
Both Aubameyang and Ramsey are fantastic players and it’s interesting that he picked those two ahead of the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil. Perhaps it implies something about what we will see of Emery’s Arsenal. We can only wait and see.
