Reports suggest that an unnamed senior Arsenal player broke down in tears during a crisis meeting amongst the playing staff (via The Guardian).
It’s fair to say that things are going horribly for Arsenal at the moment, both on and off the pitch.
The Gunners have lost seven of their last twelve matches and with fans mutinous in the stands, the situation is clearly being felt by the players.
The problems in the dressing room are clear to see when looking at the side’s performances on the pitch and now, the lid has been lifted on some of the goings-on behind the scenes at Arsenal.
The Guardian has reported that an unnamed senior player almost came to tears when discussing the club’s problems on the pitch.

“We are a big club,” he reportedly said. “But we need more help from the coaches.”
‘It’s not going to happen,’ another player apparently replied. ‘We need to find the answers ourselves.’
It’s a fascinating story which, if true, sheds a great deal of light on what is happening with the Arsenal players. It seems that the situation is just as dire behind the scenes as it is on the pitch. As for the unnamed senior player, Per Mertesacker is a likely candidate.
