Reports suggest that Alex Iwobi is set to sign a new deal which will keep him at Arsenal until 2022 (via Arsenal.com).
He’s hardly been the most popular player amongst the majority of Arsenal fans in recent years but there’s a feeling that this could soon change.
Alex Iwobi has been at Arsenal since he was in primary school and burst onto the Premier League scene in his breakthrough season in 2015/16.
His career progressed has somewhat stalled since then and looked like a man seriously lacking in confidence for much of last season.
Well, that could soon change with fresh reports that the Nigerian midfielder is set to sign a new contract at the Emirates.
Iwobi’s current deal is set to expire in two years but The Mirror has claimed that the 22-year-old’s new deal will run up until 2022.
