Reports in Spain and England suggest that Arsenal and FC Barcelona have agreed on a deal which will take Denis Suarez to the Emirates on a season-long loan (via Arsenal.com).
It’s a transfer story which has been rumbling on for weeks but it appears as if there has been a breakthrough in Arsenal’s pursuit of Denis Suarez.
The FC Barcelona man is reportedly set to join the Gunners on a season-long loan deal with an option for purchase in the summer.
There was believed to have been a major disagreement between the two clubs over the terms of the deal, with FC Barcelona keen to make Arsenal’s purchase an obligation.
Now, it appears as if the permanent transfer will only be an option for the Gunners who are expected to pay a €2.5 million loan fee.

Numerous publications in Spain are suggesting that Suarez will sign a contract renewal at FC Barcelona prior to the move so the Spanish side can maintain his transfer market value.
It’s good news for Arsenal. The Gunners have got the deal they wanted with Denis Suarez, a short-term loan with an option for purchase further down the line. Suarez’s transfer could go either way in England so it’s good to see that there will be an initial trial period.
