Reports in France suggest that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left his national team early in protest of poor transport conditions (via Sport Witness).
The international break has come to an end but for one Arsenal player, it seems as if things ended a little earlier than expected.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has spent the break with his Gabon international team but reports suggest that he actually left the group on Monday.
According to L’Equipe, Aubameyang and his teammates ‘rebelled’ against the team on Monday night in protest against the travel arrangements set out for them.
The players were reportedly unhappy with the conditions of the plane arranged by the Gabon FA.
In consequence, Aubameyang didn’t feature for Gabon in their 2-0 victory over South Sudan in the qualification campaign for the Africa Cup of Nations.

It’s a strange story but it’s unclear how much truth is in the reports. It would be interesting to see what sorts of conditions the players were subjected to and whether or not their actions were justified.
