Reports in England suggest that Arsenal will look to FC Barcelona in their continuing search for a Technical Director (via The Independent).
It’s proving to be quite the saga as Arsenal look to recruit a new Technical Director to the club’s hierarchy.
Since Sven Mislintat’s departure last month, the Gunners were thought to have secured the signing of Monchi, the one-time collaborator with Unai Emery.
However, Monchi announced this week that he would return to Sevilla while another Gunners target, Marc Overmars signed an extension on his contract at AFC Ajax.
Now, reports in England suggest that Arsenal’s Head of Football Raul Sanllehi will look to his former club, FC Barcelona for a solution.

The Independent claims that Sanllehi has identified Andoni Zubizaretta and Roberto Fernandez as potential candidates for the job.
Zubizaretta was FC Barcelona’s director of football between 2010 and 2015 while Fernandez served in the role between 2015 and 2018.
It’s a tricky decision for Raul Sanllehi and Arsenal. The Technical Director role is a difficult one to quantify with both Andoni Zubizaretta and Roberto Fernandez enjoying mixed success during their time at FC Barcelona.
