Arsenal will reportedly wait a month to announce the transfer of Sokratis Papastathopoulos despite agreeing on a deal with the player (via The Telegraph).
If reports are to be believed, everything has been agreed on with all three parties for Sokratis Papastathopoulos’ transfer to Arsenal.
The Borussia Dortmund centre-back has just one year left on his contract but is reportedly set to join the Gunners.
The Telegraph is claiming that the details have been agreed on the £16 million transfer of Sokratis to the Emirates but that things will not be announced for some time.
The report suggests that the transfer will not be made official for another month by the club.
The reasons are not specified but, presumably, it will either be something to do with the World Cup or the club’s desire to announce another signing or two alongside it.

It’s good to hear the reports that a deal for Sokratis Papastathopoulos is completed but it’s unclear why things haven’t yet been announced. The player will be a good signing for the Gunners if things get finalised.
