Reports suggest that Unai Emery tried to sign Mesut Ozil for Paris Saint-Germain earlier this year while the Spaniard was still in charge of the club (via ESPN).
They may have been involved in a rumoured falling out at Arsenal this week but there are now reports which suggest otherwise.
Mesut Ozil and Unai Emery have seemingly had a strained start to their relationship at Arsenal with the head coach apparently unhappy with how his playmaker has been performing.
There were even reports of a falling out between the two men but now, there are rumours which suggest otherwise.
ESPN’s Raphael Honigstein has claimed that Ozil has indeed been off ill after a severe cold developed into laryngitis.
The report also claims that the relationship between the two men is strong, so much so that Emery was keen on signing Ozil earlier this year and even met with the player while managing Paris Saint-Germain.

It’s unclear how accurate these reports are but it’s interesting to see the claims that Emery tried to sign Ozil earlier in the year. Perhaps things aren’t as bad between the two men as many seem to believe.
