According to L’Equipe, Olivier Giroud could spend up to three months on the sidelines after suffering a ‘broken foot’ against Everton late in the game on Saturday.
The news is spreading quickly and will no doubt cause panic to fans with less than a week left in the summer transfer window.
Players such as Loic Remy have been mooted as potential emergency options for the Gunners, Wenger may look for a short term option in the form of a loan move if necessary.
Hopefully the official diagnosis is not this bad for Giroud who has played a key role in the north London side’s comeback over the weekend. Arsenal are lacking serious depth up front and face an extremely important test on Wednesday without their best centre forward.
Same old Arsenal.
