Reports in Turkey claim that Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil has told them that he will be joining Manchester United (via Sport Witness).
The story of Mesut Ozil and Arsenal has taken another turn and this one is for the worst as far as Gunners fans are concerned.
The futures of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have dominated the club in recent months and with the January transfer window fast approaching, that has only been amplified.
Now, a newspaper in Turkey has claimed that Ozil told Turkish side, Fenerbahce that he is joining Manchester United.
“Thanks for your offer but I really want to stay in the Premier League,” Ozil told the Turkish side, according to Sabah. “Manchester United have a huge offer for me, I’ll probably be transferred there.”

Ozil’s current contract at the Emirates expires at the end of the season and he doesn’t look close to signing a new deal anytime soon.
For a while, Mesut Ozil leaving Arsenal has been the most likely outcome. However, it is still unclear whether there is any truth in these reports. Sport Witness claim that this sort of reporting is regular in the country so we should probably take this quote with a pinch of salt.
